Key Ideas for Roman Art and Architecture:
Roman civilization grows to an unbelievable size and dominates the Western World:
From the Tigris and Euphrates to the Thame and beyond, from the Nile to the Rhine and Danube.
The Romans excelled in the art of architecture. The discovery of concrete allows for massive interior space in architecture that are built a combined style of Etruscan and Greek temples.
Paintings and Sculpture, Romans often borrowed from the imitating the Greeks, often
hyper-realistic in portraits.
